The Institute of Molecular Genetics ASCR together with the research infrastructure Czech-BioImaging would like to invite you to attend the 5-day practical course "*Transmission electron microscopy in life sciences*".
The course is aimed at beginners and intermediate users of transmission electron microscopes. After the course, participants will understand the principles of construction and function of transmission electron microscopes, the basics of sample preparation techniques, and will receive the extensive practice during hands-on sessions on transmission electron microscopes of varying complexity. The participants are encouraged to bring their own samples on TEM grids for ambient temperature imaging. Overview of sample preparation methods with demo, and demonstration of cryo-TEM method is a part of the course, as well. The course will be taught in English.
The course is organized by the Institute of Molecular Genetics CAS in Prague on 20th – 24th November 2023. Favourable registration fees are set due to the support by the Czech-BioImaging.
